Rent a Vintage Train

At Veteranbanen, you can rent your own vintage train.

At Veteranbanen you can rent your own vintage train for events like birthdays, confirmation parties, weddings, company outings, photo train tours, and more.

You can board the train in Bryrup and travel to Vrads Station where your event can take place. After the event, you can take the train back to Bryrup. You can also board at Vrads Station, go to Bryrup, and return to Vrads Station again. The train is also happy to stop at the small stops Skåningebro and Snabe Igelsø, which are between Bryrup and Vrads stations if you wish.

Vi tilbyder også fototog, hvor vi køre ud på strækning, og holder steder hvor man kan tage gode billeder af toget.

Hvis man har nogle særlige ønsker, det kan eksempel være, man gerne vil køre med flere forskellige slags tog, godsvogne m.m. så sende os en mail med de ønsker man har og vi vender tilbage.

Types of Vintage Trains Available

Veteranbanen can offer the following trains:

Railbus motor train – up to 100 passengers
Triangel motor train – up to 130 passengers
Diesel locomotive train – up to 230 passengers
Steam locomotive train – up to 230 passengers

Prices

The price for renting a vintage train (also called a special train) is listed below. If you have special requests, you should send a request to get a specific price.

Motor Special Train

Fixed starting price, one-way or return: 3500 DKK
For more than 25 people, the regular ticket price applies for extra passengers.
Waiting time beyond 2 hours: 500 DKK per started hour.

Steam Special Train

Fixed starting price, one-way or return: 11000 DKK
For more than 40 people, the regular ticket price applies for extra passengers.
Waiting time beyond 2 hours: 750 DKK per started hour

Discount

Special trains with over 60 passengers receive a 10% discount.
Discounts do not apply to the fixed starting prices.

We reserve the right to correct typographical errors and price changes.

Requesting a Special Train

To request a special train rental, Veteranbanen needs the following information:

Name and phone number of the person booking the train (or contact person)
Number of passengers (or expected number)
Which type of train you want (motor or steam)
Any special wishes
Date of the trip
Departure location and time (Bryrup, Vrads Station, or the small stops Skåningebro, Snabe Igelsø)
Where the train should go and the departure time for the return trip

Important: Veteranbanen will check whether it’s possible to run a train on the requested day. They will reply once they know whether the train can run with the provided details. The booking is only valid once you have received written confirmation from Veteranbanen Bryrup-Vrads. Bookings must be made as early as possible and no later than 15 days before the trip date.
