Veteranbanen Bryrup-Vrads
The Heritage Railway is operated by a voluntary association/organisation and offers historic train services as well as dissemination of railway cultural heritage.

 

Introduction

Terms and conditions concerning:

  • Purchase of tickets for scheduled services

  • Operation of special trains, where the service is carried out at a time determined by the customer (buyer)

  • Participation in events where the Heritage Railway is the organiser

Purchase of tickets for scheduled services

Tickets purchased at the ticket office and from train staff on the platform in Bryrup, as well as from train staff on the platform in Vrads, are non-refundable.

At Bryrup station, payment can be made in cash, by Visa/MasterCard/American Express (not Dankort), and MobilePay.
At Vrads, payment can be made in cash, by Visa/MasterCard, and American Express.

Tickets for scheduled services may, during certain periods, be purchased via an online sales platform.
Conditions for cancellation and changes to tickets purchased via the online sales platform are stated on the platform.

 

Operation of special trains

Booking of special trains must be made as early as possible and no later than 15 days before the event is to take place.

The booking is valid and binding upon receipt of written confirmation from the Heritage Railway.

Booked special trains may be cancelled up to 15 days before the day of operation at no cost.
If cancellation is made up to 48 hours before the day of operation, 25% of the agreed price must be paid.

The Heritage Railway reserves the right to cancel booked special trains or change the type of traction (steam/diesel) if staffing, rolling stock, or other circumstances make it impossible to carry out the service as originally booked. The Heritage Railway will endeavour to inform the customer of any changes as soon as possible.

Any costs for catering, music, entertainment, or other services ordered by the customer from third parties in connection with the special train are not the responsibility of the Heritage Railway. The same applies to any cancellation fees related to such costs.

 

 

Events organised by the Heritage Railway

Examples of such events may include Heritage Railway Day.

Tickets are announced for sale on the Heritage Railway’s website and other relevant channels a reasonable time prior to the event.

Conditions for cancellation and changes to tickets purchased via an online sales platform are stated on the platform.

 

 

General terms and conditions

Open flames or smoking are not permitted on the train—neither during operation nor while stationary.

Guests/passengers must at all times follow the instructions of the train staff.

The Heritage Railway reserves the right to cancel departures or change the regular timetable, including changing the type of traction (steam/diesel), if staffing, rolling stock, or other circumstances make it impossible to operate as stated in the timetable.

All departures are subject to technical, safety-related, and weather-related conditions allowing safe operation.

The Bryrup–Vrads Heritage Railway disclaims liability for delays, unless otherwise required by mandatory legislation.

A valid ticket or other proof of travel must be retained by the passenger throughout the journey.

It is prohibited to open doors while the train is in motion or to remain in the driver’s cab or staff areas.

Passengers are responsible for their own personal belongings during the journey.

In the event of damage caused by passengers to trains, stations, or equipment, claims for compensation may be made.

The Bryrup–Vrads Heritage Railway is authorised by the Danish Transport Authority to operate a heritage railway and heritage train services pursuant to Executive Order no. 25 of 11 January 2018, section 2, subsection 1.

 

 

Settlement and payment terms

Purchases at the ticket office and from train staff are settled on the day.

Payment for special trains is settled with the train staff on the day.
Settlement by invoice sent by email is possible. Payment by invoice must be agreed in advance of the day of operation.

Payment terms are 14 days from the invoice date. The invoiced amount must be paid to the Heritage Railway’s bank account in accordance with the bank details stated on the invoice.

Personal data

In connection with entering into an agreement for operation of a special train, we request information about the name, address, telephone number, and email address of the person placing the order. This information is used solely for invoicing the service and is not transferred or sold to third parties. The information is stored for at least 5 years.

We only collect and process personal data to the extent necessary to fulfil our services, for example ticket purchases.

 

Reservations are made for typographical errors and changes.
